Agustina García del Río is an argentinian architect, designer and teacher. Co-Founder of Common Dwells and Dwelling Impressions, she also practices as an architect and senior designer at Openspace Architecture and teaches at Emily Carr University of Art + Design
Agustina believes in designing experiences; she thinks that architecture and design can improve social conditions and that we are responsible for the spaces where people inhabit and dwell, where children are raised, and where communities grow and flourish. She believes that spaces and design should be uplifting and conceived to embrace our humanity.
For the last twelve years, Agustina has been working in a diverse range of disciplines, from architecture, interiors, furniture and stage design, to jewellery, photography, and creative direction. For eight years, she was a Professor at the University of Buenos Aires in the architecture program until she moved to Copenhagen in 2020.
Her work has been featured in design magazines and websites such as ÅBEN, Arch Daily, Design Hunter UK, Dezeen, ELLE Decor, Parole, SPACE10 and SUMMA+.
Agustina is currently based in Vancouver, Canada, and works globally.
