Agustina García del Río is an argentinian architect, designer and teacher. Co-Founder of Common Dwells, she also practices as a senior designer at Openspace Architecture, seasonal faculty at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Agustina believes in designing experiences; she thinks that architecture and design can improve social conditions and that we are responsible for the spaces where people inhabit and dwell, where children are raised, and where communities grow and flourish. She believes that spaces and design should be uplifting and conceived to embrace our humanity.

She has spent the past fifteen years working across a diverse range of disciplines, including architecture, interiors, furniture, stage design, jewellery and photography. She also held a position as a professor at the University of Buenos Aires for eight years before relocating to Copenhagen and then moving to Vancouver.

Her work has been featured in design magazines and websites such as ÅBEN, Arch Daily, Design Hunter UK, Dezeen, ELLE Decor, Parole, SPACE10 and SUMMA+.

Agustina is currently based in Bowen Island, BC, Canada, and working globally.
